  • COMMENTS:
    • Mycoplasma bovis is a common cause of otitis media, otitis media-interna, and otitis externa in calves. Otitis externa may result in clinical signs of otorrhea and ear droop, otitis media may result in typanic rupture and otitis externa, or may extend into the inner ear resulting in vestibular/neurologic signs. It has been associated with drinking milk from cows with M. bovis mastitis in dairy herds, and pneumonia and infection in other organs in beef herds.
