- NUTRITIONAL\VITAMIN DEFICIENCY
- Deformation of the keel bone may be seen as a result of osteomalacia. This is often seen as a subsequently to decreased Vitamin D or calcium in the ration, especially in young animals or animals in lay, and may be associated with paralysis and other deformation or breaks in bones. Ribs may also be swollen along their length due to mobilization of calcium and replacement of bone with fibrous connective tissue.
